Top Tech Acquisitions of 2009
In the start of 2009, due to the recession, acquisitions were at a standstill. However, a few months into the year as summer 2009 approached, the deals started to flow. That pace was held throughout the rest of the year. The following list represents technology deals (web, software, hardware and mobile)
Topping the list is Oracle’s acquisition of Sun Microsystems for a whopping $7.4 billion . Second on that list is Xerox’s purchase of Affiliated Computer Services for $5.75 billion, followed by Panasonic’s Acquisition of Sanyo for $4.6 billion. Other deals included Walt Disney Company’s acquisition of Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion.
